As a professional genealogist, Ms. Morris aids individuals from diverse backgrounds in uncovering their family history. Her deep knowledge encompasses records from the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries, with specialized experience in records from:

  • Geographic Regions: Eastern & Western Europe, Canada, and Early American (including records for DAR, SAR, and CAR).

  • Specialization: Jewish Eastern European genealogy.

She has personally traced her own ancestry back to 1360 and has documented over 15,000 family members, skillfully utilizing DNA evidence to validate numerous historical "family stories." Her passion for genealogical research began in 1976. She is also the author of the essential guide, “Scattered Seeds, A Guide to Jewish Genealogy.”

Leadership and Academia

Ms. Morris has held significant leadership roles within the genealogical community, including:

  • Founding President of the Jewish Genealogical Society of Palm Beach County.

  • President Emerita of the Jewish Genealogical Society of Palm Beach County.

  • Past President of the International Professional Jewish Genealogical Society.

She has also shared her expertise academically as an Adjunct Professor at Florida Atlantic University and through various Distinguished Lecture Series and speaking engagements.

Beyond her leadership and teaching, Ms. Morris has authored Scattered Seeds: A guide to Jewish Genealogy and several books documenting her clients’ family stories. She has gained recognition in various publications, including newspapers and magazines. Her impact in the field is underscored by her keynote presentation at the International Jewish Librarians Association and her participation in the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies conference in Orlando.
